People are just trying to find happiness during, which is in many places, a cold, dreary season. It has become over many years an acceptable custom, which is supposed to bring joy to all.

Maybe we should just decide to be happy within instead of trying to fill a void with 'things'. Besides, how are all of these material desires affecting the earth?
